MadeForMums has evaluated the Cybex Avi Spin on our behalf and had the opportunity to ride it on with Genevieve Gregson, one of the top middle distance athletes in Australia. She is also a new mum. We asked Genevieve Gregson what she thought of the pram, and if it could be improved.

The Avi Spin is a fantastic all-terrain baby stroller that gives the flexibility a modern family needs from day one. The front swivel is unmatched for its manoeuvrability in tight city corners, and the air-filled tires provide comfortable cushioning while strolling through the city or taking nature walks. The swivel can be locked to give extra stability when running or on rough terrain. The fully reclining seat is designed ergonomically to lay flat and is suitable from birth. The strap that is one-pull makes it easier to get in and out, while the compact folding makes it simple to store and transport. Wheels can be removed to create smaller fold. The brake lever is situated on the right side of the handlebar, which can make it difficult to operate with just one hand.

The assembly is quite simple, and the user manual includes refreshingly clear instructions. The only complaints I have are that they are noisy and clunky, and the Velcro used to secure them can make your baby scream. This is particularly a problem if you're walking quietly through the park and don't want to disrupt other parents. A storage area was also mentioned as a problem.

There are also tiny honeycomb-like areas that are exposed on the bottom of the seat that could be an ideal place for dumping and spilled drinks.
